fair enough, I just see an extra point of failure on every cell - I assume less welds / connections is better
Also using Chakas method of doubling over a piece of nickel strip provides a bit of give/flex to the fuse wire so less chance of it breaking.

ah I like that idea
I tested some fuse wire welded directly - was able to hold the weight of 5 cells but even small amount of movement could cause problems
i just bought N.E.S.E modules…f that welding^^
