Would running one of those 149 kv outrunners with 6s be ok you think?

No…and yes if you like 10-14mph

At 6s:

I will be running the same motor at 12s

At 12s:

I mean do you think running at 6s would put too much strain on the motor?

Maybe 10mph would be ok on emtb?

Lol no…

It would be a waste …

If you are doing light duty … Use a 50mm motor…

But do yourself a favor and just stick with 63mm motors

For a 6s I suggest a kv higher than 200 but below 270kv

Ahh eff it, I’ll fork out the extra 40 bucks and get 12s haha

Exactly but you need a vesc or a TB esc that can handle 12s and these are 150 each depending

I’ve already bought the 149 kv motor thinking lower kv was always better. So looks like i’m gonna go with 12s. Also as far as the esc being able to handle the load, I purchased a VESC from ollin, so I’m thinking I should be good

That’s cool…then things are good…just have to make space for the extra battery and do the wiring … That’s all that’s diffrent from the 6s set up.

Might want to think of an anti-spark solution

I know I will.

Just need to worry abt the gearing…I set it at 16/36 because @torqueboards has a 16t and the wheel pulleys I have are 36t…

Yeah, what would you recommend for the wiring to still allow for simple charging with an Imax b6? And I’m gonna be running 40teeth on the wheel, and 20 on the motor pulley with 75mm wheels

Interesting choice

I like it!

Thanks a lot, I’ll grab one of those!

hmmm… not much better on a 15/33 … or even a 16/33 … these aren’t racing motors that’s for sure. lol

Who has a 33t?
