Noob question thread! 😀 ask your questions here!

I’m buying a better helmet for sure. I crack my last one in half bombing a hill a going +40mph. Got ran over by a Nissan Xterra and lost like a week of my memory. Being concussed sucks lol.

i got this evolve wheel gear and as you may know there is a bearing inside of it. i know that you need to cut caliber trucks in order to make room for that bearing and im not really keen on doing that modification. so do you guys think tb218 trucks would work with that gear without cutting a chunk from the hanger, considering they have 10mm longer axle than regular trucks?

Hey man, mboards have a fantastic customer service,I have purchased small items from them and shipping(to aus) is cheap and well tracked, the components are good quality and no issues so far. The items on the website do bare a striking resemblance to the diyeboards stuff and they have mixed reviews.
The owner has a youtube channel and I found the videos to be well made and very informative to new builders. links are all on the website. Diyeboards are the cheapest diy site by far though but you get what you pay for in life!! Torque boards (DIY electric) are tried tested and reliable which is why there are so many builds with their components but expect to pay a bit more.

My first build was a torqueboards/mboard collaboration and it is a beast, so much better than anything prebuilt. Good luck and look forward to fun times

Well according to recent complaints, mboards is a company to avoid

@moon and I’d say that is probably because he’s selling the diyeboard stuff as mentioned. I find with vendors that research is the key. All you can go on is other peoples experiences and mine has been good but that is not to say that joe blogs around the corner will have the same experience. The items I purchased were small electronics and generic to most of the sites I’ve used so all I’m commenting on is customer service. Hell you know as well as I do that the components that most start up builders will use are probably all made in the same group of Chinese factories anyway.

Its not that I dont care what he sells

Yeah and those parts are straight up shit

As I said i can only go on experience and mine has been good. Mike seems to be a decent kid having a go and judging by my more recent experience getting his act together.

can i create new topic for selling products?

You should be able to if not you need to get more read time and days that you are part of the forum so they don’t think you’re a scammer

you can create a new topic and sell stuff you have available. You´re not allowed to do groupbuys or collect money before having stock, until you reach lvl 3 Regular.

how do you close a thread you started?

Normally a thread stays open. But you could ask a Moderator to close it.

I’m such a noob I can’t figure out how to post a new thread on here. But really can some show me. Using a iPhone embarrassing

Increase your reading time.

What do you want to post?

Up at the top ic says new topic that is where you create a new post.

I must be blind or I need to use a desktop instead of my iPhone. I don’t see the New Topic. Button. I even read through the “new members start here thread”.

Anyway I want to know how or if it’s possible to switch my remote control on my board to a different style remote. How difficult it will be. Will I run into other issues and basically a “how to”

I’m trying to adjust my wheels because I noticed that both my belts are rubbing on my wheels and no matter how many speed washers I put on it doesn’t line up. How did I get it so the belts won’t rub against the wheels. image image

Hmmm… try to line the motor pulley and wheel pulley up perfect (move your motor mount closer to the wheel)

Get rid if the speed washers, they’re just spacing the wheel oddly far away from the mount. Try flipping your motor pulley so that little bit of flange keeps the belt where it’s meant to be.
