I would order the next size up just for a safety factor and because it’s better built. My machine design professor gave us a chart for beltpicking, let me see if I can post it here:
HTD5 will work!
Is it advisable using a 15mm wide ? Since the wheel pulleys are 12mm width
They even have cheap pulleys.
My order has arrived. Everything is here. Just pulley to lathe, bolts for the wheel pulley and somehow make a pulley retainer.
Anyone know where I could get a 14t motor pulley (ideally 12mm)
http://www.beltingonline.com/15-tooth-htd5-pulley-15-5m-09f-7754, They even offer keyway and grubs crew and bore sizing. This might not be the right pitch so you have to explore a little, pretty nice website imo
I would look around as well. If you go to a university, misumi gives @~~30% discounts. Mcmastercarr does as well.
Saw that. 15mm wide OK for running 12mm belts? My wheel pulley is 12mm.
If your pulley isn’t aligned the belt will wobble back and forth or even lean to one side causing in even wear.
Ah ok. So a 12mm it will have to be then.
category/electric-skateboard-parts/pulleys-belts/ They sell 12 mm pulleys and belts.
Thanks for the link. Yes they do sell them but not in 12mm width. Maybe a 15t will have to do.
If you’re in Europe maybe Proto can help out https://www.proto-boards.com/product-page/9mm-electric-skateboard-belt-uk-htd-270-5m And for a smaller one you can checkout eskating.eu, cost a bit more tho.
Or you can wait till I get my order, I ordered 3 belts and already got 2 15mm here so I won’t need the 12mm.
Thanks for the links. The issue is that the pulley kit has come with a 16t motor pulley but I really need a 14 or 15t. Happy with 12mm and have belts.
Ah, my bad
Ajay: tracking number or money, please decide.
@Norco did you get an answer from the father of Ajay? I mean do we know that his father really know about that all? It seems he doesn’t help his son to come out of the troubles.
No I haven’t heard anything back from him.
