Hey does anyone here have arduino experience? I need help with setting up Fastled or NeoPixel. I have no arduino experience but I have been around code. I dont know which board to get or how to get buttons to select modes. This is where my idea came from:(but the next link has videos)

Scroll down on this link below for cool led pattern videos. I like the idea of a cylon light underneath or the fire pattern. Both are shown in this link

neopixels are pretty simple. my new lights use them.

this libary and examples are the best place to start. I would use a 5v trinket because you only need 1 pwm pin for lights. you can use the others for buttons. or the builtin button i think.

Noice. Well I made a new thread to chronicle the simplicity of the arduino led controller for eboards.

Anybody got a 3D file for a truck holder for those COB LEDs?

I’ve tried the Flux Risers and I think that the light is too low

Hardly used. As new.

Have this light with original box and mounting bracket thatt can be screwred to riser. Comes with remote. Regargeable battery. Aus buyer preferred.

Made a 3D printed mount for them for under the deck: https://grabcad.com/library/holder-for-electric-skateboard-lighting-1

Not yet perfect as I might want to adjust the angle a bit and the mechanism is almost useless - on my print however the tolerances were so good that it fits perfectly and sits tight.

Anyone know where I can find some decent purple or pink LEDs?

Preferably something like these: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/3w-green-led-alloy-strip-120mm-x-12mm-3s-compatible.html

I have some blue ones going right now. Super bright, but no purple or pink.

Just got these off ebay, but they’re very dim.

If you are crafty and willing to build / get a led driver… try to search for 3w led chips or such… I think i’ve seen them in purple color.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3W-420nm-UV-Ultra-Violet-Purple-LED-diode-High-Power-bead-chip-with-20mm-pcb-/261616949664?hash=item3ce995d9a0:g:HhwAAOxy4fBTlL3w

U can also try these nobrand ones… will be cheaper but also possibly less light for the same watts…

Check color spectrum / look also, have not used / tested/ seen much of these uv/purple leds in real life

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not all that crafty, but I’ll definitely look into it.

you could use rgb leds and set them to any color. I usually ride with purple or green underglow.

you could probably find a better price, but get this style mini rf remote. not ir! http://www.ebay.com/itm/5M-RGB-5050-Waterproof-Strip-17Key-RF-Mini-Remote-12V-5A-Power-SMD-300-LED-Light-/302025084634?hash=item4652190eda:g:5XUAAOSwaB5XmDMU

Thanks, I like the idea of being able to change the colors.

They look like this

from china might be a bit cheaper than the multiple color one’s.

Thanks guys, I didn’t realize the strip type LEDs were so bright. The color changing looks really badass :grinning:

They also have rgb addressable lights
